Interesting post stage 'banter' at BMC that reinforces what many here have commented on. Note the look Evans gives Gilbert!? LOL looks like a fun dynamic on that team!

Team spirit at its best!

Lot of weird things around BMC at the moment. They are not a unit. You often see Evans alone towards the end of the races. Not to mention the exclusion of Matthias Frank, who has been tearing up the climbs in Austria. Hushovd and Oss would have strengthened their team time trial team a lot as well.

Does anyone know why Janez Brajkovic (Astana) did not start stage 7?

Stage 7 in tweets
Cav:
Kind of knew what Cannondale would do today, but no way to prevent it. They rode faultlessly. Congratulations to @petosagan. #machine

Brian Holm:
Our U-boot soldiers came bit to short of oxygen at 'Mere de Mounis' Aber morale is immer gut sagt Kapitain Fritz von Aldag.

Terpstra:
That was a typical hard Tour de France stage! Manmanman

Moser: "Today we went as if there was no tomorrow. The problem is, tomorrow is there!"

Can Kwiatkowski hang on to the white jersey tomorrow?

LOL Cadel, have a Snickers

regarding Kwiatkowski - if he's anywhere near his form from Dauphine, i'd say he has a real chance to ride in white throughout the whole race. i'd say it depends on what happens among the top GC contenders - if they play 'bike chess', Kwiatkowski's more likely to hang with the favourites and not loose too much time on the hardest stages

Kwiatkowski has already done work for Cavendish on flat stages, and will probably continue to do so. I reckon he will have a hard time keeping away from a rested Pinot, Van Garderen or Talansky. It will be interesting to see how Quintana does after his crashes, though. If he is on form he will fly away on some of the climbs.
