I've got my money on Bennati but Pippo has me a little worried.

If the weather gets really bad, Boonen.

Armstrong out with the age old case of “acute gastroenteritis”.

Beppu to take his place.

This year's Milano-Sanremo is currently shaping up into a epic race. A lot of big names are up there with 69km to go: Boonen, Pozzato, Hincapie, Cavendish, Cunego, Bennati,

Damn Friere burned them at the end! 3 bikes lengths between them...

BUT, Boonen got isolated/caught behind Bennati but he got past him he would have won!
Speed isn't going to kill you. Suddenly becoming stationairy, that is what's gonna get ya'!

Thats bike racing guys....the times i've heard "if i hadn't got boxed in..." or "if it had been another 10 yards, he would have had him!"

Friere won because he did all the things right neccessary to take it,including not getting boxed in/isolated behind Bennati (who looked lucky to be there in the end IMO), that and a pinch of luck that you can always do with in a race. He's a great champion isn't he? I enjoyed that!

Seems Boasson Hagen also fell foul of the old "stomach cramps".

Although, in fairness, his "shit happens" assessment is a good sign he's not oo bothered.

I could see him winning L-B-L this year.

The thing is with Edvald is that I read a translated Norwegian article that discussed how he gets stomach cramps if he uses normal gels or energy drink. I wonder if noone told Sky.

What is up with Radio Shack? They look like crap. I find it ironic that the 'weak' Astana team has been winning and animating races but Johan's hand picked squad have been pretty bad. This weekend in Corsica will be a blood bath. It wouldn't suprise me at all if Astana can put two on the podium. I am starting to wonder if certain members of the medical community didn't go with the future instead of the past....what else can explain it?

Apparently the only races that the yanks care about are the TdF and the ToC

You got that right!!! My opinion is that they are very overated team, ok they have GC contenders and the will be up there in the Tour and Cali, but cycling in my opinion is not only Tour! When it comes to the classics they suck :smartass: What have they shown so far? The smaller teams like Vacansolei, Topsport Vlaander, Aqua Sapone... are at least trying to race and they do a hell of a job out there, but they (Vacansolei) didn`t get invitation for Liege :noidea:
