those token wheels are pretty good. I know a few folks with them, train day in day out on them.

Whats wrong with your look?

Plus I have been shopping a bit, zipp rear disc, 2 new vittoria tubs as one blew out first ride on the disc (no damage, glued well & didn't roll off), a spare 14 & 15 sprokets and new 53 & 39, 130 bcd chainrings for the srm. oh, on a whim I also bought some checkered pads set for my old early 80's mongoose 24 inch.

Wife was OS for 10 days and I ordered the week before she was leaving, only the disc turned up while she was gone.

I hope they're good, as the 'great deal' the lbs mechanic said he would do for me was not all that fantastic.

Throw into me paying $85 ea. for the Maxxis tyres  but the Soul 2.0's were out of true for the third time, so all I wanted to do was actually ride the 595 with no issues.

Of course I rock up today and they still don't have a Campag freehub for the cassette. Seriously, it's becoming more and more clear why the biggest cycling store in Geelong can charge what they do. They get the job done, completed and ready to ride when they say.

As for the 595...god, where to start...I'm no mechanic that's for sure, but managed to find;

- cranks not installed properly or tightened. So that when they were removed there was carbon dust from the friction that was occurring when they were moving around in the bb.

- all the limit screws were loose and not adjusted, one almost coming out.

- rd was not aligned on the hanger and was also loosely attached.

- cables too long and pushing rear break off center constantly.

And ALL this was already after I'd had the bike back twice to the original store that built it because of other various problems like the fd dropping the chain every time it upshifted.

I'm a mix of :x :( and :? right about now. And still, $940 later, still don't have a bike I can ride!

bugger, sorry to hear. Hope it's sorted soon and you can enjoy one of the best bikes there is.

If you lived in Sydney, I'd fix it all in my garage. Or you could even get it fixed and serviced then washed by the national road race champion :D

Bike needed an overhaul prior to winter training miles.

Campy Veloce 10S Cassette
Campy Veloce 10S chain
TA Alize 42 & 53 chainrings
Arundel Geckco bar tape
Arundel Tubi seat bag

btw - the seatbag is pretty neat (considering it's a seatbag ...). It takes a conti sprinter spare + 2x16oz co2 + spoke key and is still very compact. (The inflator + multi-tool will have to go in the jersey).

None if this is very WW though ...

Just ordered a sweet funky jersey from Twin Six. Anyone else have tried this company's product? Very reasonable price, too.

Just bought some 2010 DeSoto 400 Mile Bibshorts, 2010 ones are all black instead of the white leggings.

Hope they're as good as people say, my 150+km sundays need a decent chamois.

Also bought these:

I dont see a problem? The second one is more pink than red, but it isn't hot pink.

Plain colour kits are boring and trade team kits are just riding billboards.

See that's why my double standards kick in, and I don't mind the pro team kits. Yes they're loaded with sponsors and = free advertising for them while you pay for the kit. But I just like how they're designed.

I want my next kit to be Diquigiovanni - just because they jam just about every free space with a sponsor! I love the organised mess that it is!

No idea where I could buy one though :noidea:

Each to their own I suppose....

Don't get me wrong, I love wearing my Garmin kit, but it looks better when i'm riding my Felt.

The only Trade team kit i'd buy now is Silence Lotto, for obvious reasons.

Just to keep you happy, there is none left in my size of the 'pink' one. So I changed it to this:
