Hey guys -

Maybe he's getting started in the sport, and hasn't yet joined in on a club or team, nor raced, to get the small nuances that many of us are aware of.
I know that I didn't get the proper skewer placement (between stays) until I learned from observation after the first group ride I did....that was a long, long, long time ago, but we all started somewhere, right? I had the correct side for lever, but that's beyond the point. Some of us have been riding for decades, others have just started riding for a few months (and made a nice purchase to enter into the sport).

Anyway, that's to say that we all started somewhere, and somewhere along the way we each had some really great person help educate us to the nuances that come with being dedicated to this sport and art.

What's the black arm band stand for?

Rapha, Stella, Rapha. Nothing to mourn about.

Seems like they're carefully adopting the Sky "thin blue line" into their design parlor too. The newest women's jersey:

HISTORICALLY, it does refer to mourning; so if you feel the need to assign deeper meaning to a strip of fabric you can say it is to memorialize those in the pro peloton and recreational cyclist who have lost their lives competing and enjoying the sport we love......or it is simple an aesthetic strip of contrasting fabric......take your pick.

Kask Mojito helmet arrived. Wow.. so much better than my 2000 hour old Catlike Whisper (which is quite worn and pinches my melon in all the wrong places). Can't feel the Mojito on my head, really. Smooth helmet.

Mine have been a real pleasure to ride (very supple, good grip), but they are extremely prone to flats (3 in 45 days) and the rubber seems to melt away overnight :D And Vittoria calls this product a training tire...

That's how my rear tire looked after only 2200 km last december/january :

Back to my trusted Durano S for winter training after that.
