didnt lock the brakes. I think a combination of too narow tyre clearance and the wheel slipping a tiny bit caused a rub only when cornering hard, popping the tube... or the tube popped first, idk. pretty scary at just under 70 kms/hr . had to then walk 8 kms down the descent as it was too long to boot and too steep to take it slow. Dont blame the tyre per se, but think the contis may be a bit more resistant?

I haven't ridden it yet, waiting for the Crumpton to get back. I'd think it would be similar or more compliant than my Mcfk post, which is fantastic comfortwise.

Hope you do a review of it after some use. Would love one of these from training with the missus. I see the price has come down a bit from the original version too.

I bought it to slow the TT bike down and to get sessions with constant load in the legs, used properly it should almost eliminate freewheeling on undulating terrain reducing the opportunity to rest.
The pro version is quite a few hundred cheaper than the original and is beautifully simple, I'd have liked the *not go below xxxW* function of the original but not for another $700.
Talking to Michael the other night all of the online prices are now shown without tax or shipping to simplify the calculations on their end depending on where it's being shipped to. All of my questions were answered promptly despite him being away in France racing and the wheel is looking like being here several days early so really happy with the service.
I'll throw up a thread on it when it arrives but Nick / TineaPedis is the guy to talk about long term use, his will have a few thousand km on it by now
