Oh, those beta's I envy you. That Jis screwdriver is a great idea as well.

Lovely tools!! I also prefer non-bike-brand tools like Beta, Facom, Kraftwerk, Knipex,... as they are better quality then popular bike-tool brands. Unfortunately these brands don't make chain wips, chain tools,...

oh boy i hope the weight works out. especially since for around another 40g (and several hundred euro less) i could have had the premiums.

also it seems incredible they will be stiff enough. excited, alot of weight to shed relative to the current hyperons.

So, uh, this happened…

Image

I found out this bolt is (a) a b!tch to take apart and (b) nearly impossible to replace. Naturally, I did what any reasonable person would do.

Image

Then I thought, “Wait, your new rear derailleur won’t work with your old levers…”

Image

“…and your new levers won’t work with your old front derailleur.”

Tell me you wouldn't all have done the same thing.

You did the right thing... Well, except for wrecking that bolt at the beginning. But everything's gotta start somewhere :)

There was clearly a plan.

I bought more Challenge latex tubes. I'm starting to feel like a hoarder.

Since I didn't feel hot, I bought 3x Craft super light cool mesh headbands: http://shop.craftsports.us/cool-mesh-su ... dband.html

They work great and infinitely better than the Halo headbands that I've been wearing. The Craft headbands do a great job keeping the sweat off my brow. Plus, the Halo headbands left a beautiful horizontal imprint on my forehead for an hour or two after wearing them, argh.

Now you have a old chain and cassette.. Better change those.
Now you have an old rear wheel with "worn" free wheel.. Better change it.. And front too to match.

Now it doesn't match the frame.. Better upgrade that too.
