Today I ordered my first road bike and I can't wait until it arrives at my LBS. I purchased a new BMC team red CX01, frameset only. I can't wait to get it and build it. I've been searching the forums and weight listings for ideas.

Extralite CyberFront SP Straight Pull Front Road Hub, 48g.

I think I've got a secret admirer at Fairwheel Bikes.

(OK, fine. You got me. I bought it myself.)

...and another set of Reynold's Cryo Power brake pads (Shimano/SRAM). They're strong performers, but I think my current set is louder now than they used to be. Then again, there's a solid chance I'm mistaken...

@ rheosibal... I'm a lever man myself, but that is a sharp looking machine! I especially like the tone of the dials. I take it that is due to the "Giro Edition."

Las month bought these pair of 35 mm tubulars Bora Ultra Two wheels, just for races and cyclosportives. I had a great deal (1360 €) as they're 2014 version, and they were still in stock.

Problem for me is that my first race will be in next season, after stopping this due to a mix of a month working abroad with no bike and summer parties

2x5mm Cillos Spacers from Gamut (1g each)

http://www.gamutusa.com/cillos-spacers/

Was pretty shocked at how skinny they are when they came in, didn't look like they would fit over the steerer tube but sure enough the fit is fine and it's nice and tidy.

(and yes, I did center the spacer logos after taking this pic)

They look like the Point 1 Spacers.

Only 5Nm for the saddle clamp would scare me a bit about 1) the durability and strenght of the saddle 2)the saddle not staying in place in case of a sudden impact due to a bigger road imperfection. Is that a superlight, one off model maybe? My Superlogic 1 bolt seatpost clamp is rated to max 16 Nm, but I limit the torque to something like 12 nm on my Sworks Toupé. But 5 Nm

2 x Veloflex Sprinter tubular
2 x Veloflex Master clinchers 23mm in black tread

Probikekit had even more discount so the clinchers were essentially free!

Picked up some new shoes. I have wide feet and after 3 rides in these I am VERY happy! :-)
