The reason that I ask is that no one truly seems to understand me or my obsession for road cycling and weight weenie things alike. I guess my girlfriend understands my love of cycling, but not really the WW aspect. Same with my cycling buddies for the most part. They enjoy a light bike to a certain degree, but don't really understand why I am so obsessed about it? Do I have OCD? Are we all just freaks?

I like to think I'm normal.

But when I show up to group rides I realize I'm not normal because I look around at all these people with their heavy bikes and they don't seem concerned that their bikes are so heavy.

They start up converstations with lines such as, "My Ksyriums are the lightest and best wheels out there...." and all their buddies nod their heads in agreement. Because I'm the only one there who could offer a desenting opinion I just have to sit there and have an anurism.

It's also shocking that people don't have spreadsheets with the weight breakdown of every component on their bikes. :?

Agreed. It becomes a total geek-out fest when you happen upon another WW and start talking tech, grams, and efficiency. People in the general vicinity grow very silent and usually just wait patiently with mouths slightly agape (usually speechless, really, at how it all plays out)...

WW <3, baby.

Usually wondering when you'll shut up and get on to the important stuff, like training, FTP, durability, comfort and so on............ ;)

I guess it's something like women and shoes, only more logical. Atleast to us.
