There are plenty of good shops in Verona.

Just to name a few...Grandis (they have 2), Cicli Fontana, and so on.

There's even a small shop with the guy who invented the modern free hubs (Ive got told he has the patent on a wall), and also many other curious things.

I live 1 hour away by car from there, so lemme know if you need help.

As for Campy factory, Ive been told by Campy itself (2 years ago) they dont allow visit anymore.

Thank you - do you have an adress of the shops??

I will stay in Lazise at Lake Garda for the last 2 weeks of december and hoping for good weather so I can get 2 weeks of good training!

Michael Rasmussen and his Mexican wife (also former MTB'er) own a bike shop named Los Locos Bike Shop right in Lazise where they live.
They also rent out bikes if you need one.
Location on Google Maps: http://www.loslocosbikeshop.com/english/find_us.html

Exit Peschiera highway A4 Milano -Venezia, take SR11 direction lazise for 4km from Pesciera del Garda, 100 mt.
before the center on the right.

In Lazise, as 2 wheels said, you will find Los Locos bike shops, very close to the town's center.

And on the way to Bardolino (at north of Lazise), you will find Paola Pezzo's shops (the ex mtb Olympic champion).

As for the address of shops;

http://www.cicligrandis.com/

http://www.ciclifontana.it/

Others I wouldnt know right now, I need to ask my local friends.
So kindly send me a PM with your email add and I will try to get some address.

As for the Lake, be ready to get a lot of wind during your rides!

Holidayed at Pesciera del Garda this year, have stayed in Malcesine and Torbole also - love the area.
Good rides if you get away from the Lake road.
Shops :
Real basic one at the East side of Pesciera (bike/motorbike shop) but he helped me out when I discovered my stem was busted when I arrived in Italy.
Couple of shops on the West side of the lake stocking some higher-end stuff, can't remember the places but maybe 15 - 20kms up the side from Pesciera. Cervelos in one shop, Scotts in the other.
Olympic Bike shop in Bardolino, mainly clothing in a shop in the main road I think at Cola nr South end of the lake.
Shop at the top-end of Torbole. Rasmussen's shop as mentioned.

Didn't he say he was going to Italy, not Romania? Or are you talking about the headquarters?

Why? Because you'll discover it's not really their factory?

Time ago I got a group of tourist coming to Italy who asked me if it was possible to visit Campagnolo factory.
I contacted Campagnolo and they told me "we dont do it anymore".
This was about 2 years ago.
I've no idea if they changed their policy.
If you know more I'd be glad to have the info.
