Sure I have, I even own two, but they don't fit, which is not surprising given their age. I wanted to know *which one* I needed. That's all...should have been an easy answer, but I got a condescending lecture instead.
See? Old tools...new crank...thanks for assuming I'm full of sh*t though...
Do you know which one I need?

WAY OT.. looks like that Lezyne chain whip could be used for a bottle opener as well? Beer and bikes

Yeah...apologies for that!
Yep, built-in bottle opener. I asked my LBS how to use it but they wouldn't tell me...guess I'm stuck with cans of beer.

Dude, I've been overhauling BBs since I was 16 - I know how to tighten a crank. What I was after was the little two-pronged tool I'd never seen before.
My problem is the way he delivered his message - he could have started by saying, "I'd love to show you, but I've had this incident in the past...blah blah blah." And if he took the time to know who I was he'd have had a different answer. I doubt very much he'd know how to install ilink cables.
Nice first post by the way. Oh, and it's a 10mm hex.
Still not sure as to why you had to get it tight by the shop, but wtv, you'll be fine the next time

Perfect. My favorite, besides everyone knows that the best beer comes in cans

Bike shop employee: "(insert bike brand here) doesn't make a bike in that size."
Me: "It's in their catalog and on their website."
Bike shop employee: "Well, we can't get it."
Me: "I'm willing to spend 2 thousand euros on this bike if you order it for me."
Bike shop employee: "We don't really deal with 650b bikes."
Me: "You have a dozen of them right over there in various sizes except the one I want."
Bike shop employee: "Yeah, but nobody wants to buy them."
Me: "I do!"
Walked out shaking head in despair..... and this is why I buy online and do my own maintenance.

xnavalav8r - good one!
mellowJohnny - see the subtle scars around the bottom hole in your picture? Shop owner jammed something in there and then banged on it until he figured it was "tight". That's why he won't tell you which tool he used or let you in on his "special knowledge".

You don't need a pin spanner, at least you shouldn't if everything works right. That shouldn't ever be removed. It's what the crank bolt pushes on when you loosen it, negating the need for a crank puller.
