Did you make that up...cause if not, it's a really cool fact to remember!

What should happen when airplanes are hijacked by a group of fanatics(who would rather kill people than spit on them) and flown into two of the most important buildings in the United States? Roll over like a lap dog and say...oh well, do what you want?
Sorry, WAY off topic.
Cyclists do not get any respect and cops usually shrug their shoulders and call it unfortunate.

If you play with snakes, you will get bit.
The point is that we should not have provoked the Middle East to start with. Doing things like over throwing governments in Iran and putting military bases in Saudi Arabia were bound to provoke a reaction.
What we should do, is GTFO of the ME, and not trample on the rights of citizens in the USA.
this entire thread is not WW related, so there.

The driver is being charged with four felony counts and could see up to seven years in jail.

- Zipp rims will break if you look at them too hard
- R-Sys wheels will spontaneously explode
- The ZG crankset will never, ever exist
- Everyone needs Lightweights, even if they're fat and old
- Parts actually made of metal are SO 10 years ago

I liked this part...
It turns out, police say bicyclist McAtee was both drunk and in the wrong. And he's a city employee. He works for Portland's transportation department as a building plan examiner.
Nice! That's the first time I've heard of that here in the states. I actually saw something similar happen in Germany. At least in Portland, the culture has come full circle!

43,000 people just in the US die every year from bad drivers, and yet no one can manage to even pass a cell phone law or a law banning eating in a car, oh, but we can grab anyone off the street and torture them for years with no trial or charges.
Holy crap!!

Doc isn't denigrating those who lost their lives in 9/11, rather pointing out that there is less action over 118 people dying every day due to poor driving as well as the fear of flying in 9/11's aftermath killing 4500 people.
I completely disagree,
These situations have nothing in common.
Come on, motor vehicle accidents maybe affected by education, speed limits ...
but there will always be motor vehicle accidents, just like a certain number of people will fall and break their leg today.
This has nothing to do with the example of people purposely flying airplanes into buildings.
I find this intellectually dishonest.

The people who smoke are killing themselves. With the documentation and publicly available data that exists it's amazing that people still smoke like they do. But that's their decision.
Nobody requested that terrorists blow up our buildings and people....and I don't think too many of us request to be ran over when we're out there enjoying ourselves on bikes.
