homo/hetero hub confusion

My bikes have a tendency... to have mixed hubs instead of pairs. I don't consciously choose them to be this way - that's just how things work out. is there anything so bad about this? I confess that it's aesthetically unpure, and dismays some maintenance mechanics, but have I truly reason to feel guilty?
I would like to understand please, the thinking of those with moral opposition to mixed hubs.

You can''t understand these.

For instance:
If you want Alchemy hubs....

Only the front is availeble now.

So you have to pair it with a diffrent rear hub....
That will be Tune/DT or Campagnolo Record... etc. etc.
All will end up to be nice shiny black hubs and DT decals are easy to remove so are the White Campagnolo Record print ons.... all black no names .... What's the problem?

Damn right, just like not building up a Campag bike with a Campag seatpost, campag breaks, campag hubs, campag seatpost clamp and campag wine opener for opening the celebratory bottle of champers.

Look - if you're building your bike for an aesthetics point of view, then maybe mixed hubs might be a shame. It might not be, it might compliment the bike.

But if you're building the bike to ride and race, who cares!

1-Actually I prefer the Screwpull corkscrew for my Leoville Barton 1970

2-By the way; The Campagnolo carbon seatpost from the Record group is not a post I would buy (although I am a Campagnolo adept) the one bolt construction is not O.K. for riders in my weight cat. And it needs a torque of 18-20nm this is not nice for carbon saddle rails. A double bolt construction will have to bolds at a torque of 6-7nm that is a much better construction. And stressing the carbon saddle rails a lot less.
