I think the nuts on the top tube and stem must have realy pissed him off. I also do not believe that the chain did not break at the pin. When are the pro mechanics finally going to figure out that links such as Wipperman, KMC or Sram are the way to go.

I understand exactly how he feels having done that on sunday morning, only heading off to work (got roughly 20 yards) had managed to hold it up until the kerb jumped in my way.

Why would they lie? Mate of mine had it happen to him earlier this year on a 1 week old DA chain

Pavel Brutt is not a light rider, he does better in flat courses. This was not a mountain stage, and that climb was pretty easy at the beginning, the right stage for powerful and quick men like Bettini, or Brutt for that men on the break. Remember Huy? Short and steep. What climber does it well there?

Sure, why not? If they always broke at the pin, it would mean the centre part of the links was relatively over-engineered...

We can speculate, but it´s sad, Millar has always problems, a broken chainring in Tdf prologue, a wheel in another Tdf prologue, and now this...it´s frustrating for a man that has suffered many others problems.

I can't blame David at all for hucking his bike. I'm not too proud to admit I did that in a state championship years ago after a mechanical took me out.
