If in the area, also consider taking up the challenge of the four sides of the Grand Colombier in one day.
Yeah I see from climbbybike that Mont du Chat maxes out at 11% and averages 10%!! I will remember about the chips thanks!
I did the Grand Colombier last year on the stage the Tour went up it and that climb was fantastic. I will do that again (not from all sides though!) from Culoz but I have a feeling it will feel a little creepy without the atmosphere I now associate that climb with! I plan to descend to the west and forking right to avoid the suicidal section.
Mont Revard is also a superb climb, not steep but long and you can really crank up the pace on that climb. Of course, there is Semnoz too that I will do again. Can't wait!
