The day started scraping ice off the car at 7am , by 3pm I was in shorts on the bike and 15 degrees celsius - British weather at it's finest. These near Clevedon, Somerset UK.

[quote="billysan"]First remotely warm day of 2013 here, so of course made the most of it and knocked off work early.

Amusing example of nature reclaiming what was once hers, not seen every day in the UK:

Nature being the Avenger? ;-)

Dont see many of them ( in any condition nowadays, Thank goodness)

Nice photos Jekyll man. The UK can really look good when the sun is out.

astranoc wrote:Sorry taking this a bit offtopic, but really? You must wear those things in order to take part in the event? :noidea:

Yep, exactly that. Were only obliged to wear those in the beginning and when the sun was about to set. Some people complete the ride at 0300!

Today it was time for a slow recovery ride and since the tarmac was dry enough, I grabbed the opportunity to the take the Tommasini out for its first ride!

Unintentional 50 miles yesterday. Planned on 20, it was so nice out that I just kept going.

A loud 'ping' while out of the saddle up a short climb announced a broken spoke, rear offside. This wheel is more than 5 years old so I suppose I have to accept that things go wrong. Loosened the brake right off and carried on home.
