Thanks, you can go there, it's just across the channel !

This part around Abbeville (Picardie/ bay and estuary of Somme ) is quite nice with beaches, castles and older monuments , good spots for birdwatching, canoeing, walking, ... People are quite friendly too and nicer than the ones around (Normandy and North).

For cycling there are many smaller roads and cycling paths in the most busy areas and some cyclosportives, I rode the Ronde Picarde early september (1200 cyclists with many coming from UK , Belgium and Nederland) .

Some of thoses pictures were taken on the Ronde Picarde route the followings days during leisure rides .

Europeg-I'm assuming that photo is from Finland? Is it normal for the tree colors to change so early in the year? Cool pics btw

Just normal... after a month there will be no leaves left, but maybe some snow on the ground.

spandexboy817, how far inland are you in those pics? Are there roads up, down, and/or along many of those other "hills" in the background?

i believe that's prefumo canyon, which can be considered one of those 'benchmark' climbs for the area (san luis obispo), and only a couple kms from the coast. Not particularly steep or long (maybe ~8% avg over a couple kms), but has a couple kicks, and very close to downtown. I have fond memories of doing repeats up that climb. It looks like that's from the east (inland) side. If you continue the climb from that side, it turns into dirt for a while before turning back into pavement for the descent to the other side. I miss that place. :beerchug:
