The tilt shift works really well on the first, second & last pictures, Adrian!

Ok, it's an OT, but as a photography ignoramus, explain how those pictures are done, Adrian? Breathtaking.

There are a lot of websites that can walk you through it based on your photo editing program, but the basic idea is a heavy blur filter on the upper and lower vertical 1/3 of the image.
Cheers Adrian, looks great!
Nothing special here since I'm just riding around some new local routes.
I'm too spent to do any post processing but it was a nice 165km ride. Not sure how many more rides I'll get like this for the season so I went for it.
... I think I followed the rules...

Cheers!! They are all just snaps from my iPhone. As jvanv8 has alluded to, the tilt-shift effect is all done in post-processing, which in this case was a couple of minutes using a preset that I made based on this tutorial http://lightroomsecrets.com/2011/06/til ... lightroom/.
The best effect is when you are either above or below the subject that you're photographing.
Nice bike... you ever take it off any sweet jumps?

Last week i headed to Chamonix to do the Tour de Mt Blanc on mountain bikes. This is the third time i've done this loop and we've never had a problem with snow before...
-Yep - that's where we're going...
- The snow actually made the descent from the Col du Salenton really fun. Just hang on for as long as possible
- We did actually ride a fair bit of the route
Back from Cham and straight to Dubai for work - Managed to take my bike so a quick spin this morning and got to see a desert sun rise - bit of a contrast to last week:

Super stoked to be back on the bike after some weeks struggling with pfeiffer's disease.
Took a buddy with me (on a full suspention mtb) who wants to take up cycling to watch me so that I didn't go too fast.
This was pretty succesful (a.k.a. average speed 13 km/h..).
Climbed up to the Klewenalp near lake Lucerne.
Most pittoreque place I had seen in a while (little chapel, small creek, flowers everywhere, some swiss cows, nice winding road)
The last km was off-road, and as I didn't want to risk a puncture I stole my buddy's mtb and rode to the top on my socks..
Whilst he was carrying my road bike to the top.. (and back down)

Pretty sure the sign has been there a while Rush... It is ~1.5km from the start.
