I just read on cyclingnews.com that Vino has been handed a one year suspension. He has also retired.

My question is, if its' only one year why retire? He could still come back and race. Anyone else out there think his decision is rash, or could it be that he thinks he cannot race at a high enough level without the blood transfusions?

Yes, I know that some of you have no mercy for cheaters, but he was one of my favorite riders and I would love to see him compete again.

retired cyclists don't get random dope tests. banned ones do.
