What about Stuart O' Grady? Paris-Roubaix, good recovery from a bad crash. Tough guy.

Sydney Morning Herald/The Age Australian Sports performer of the year award...

Goes to Cadel Evans!

Then... World's number 1 cyclist donates $50,000 prize money to charity.

GO CADEL!

A true champion!

With, unfortunatly, more news coverage going to the junior prize winner than the senior, and not a mention of the charity donation. Grrrgh.

Awesome work by cadel though, he thoroughly deserved it.
This board would be a nicer place if everyone would take themselves less seriously.

I almost miss Mr Search...

No mention of the charity donation? The article states that it went to the Amy Gillet foundation and the Ian Thorpe foundation... that gives great coverage to the Amy Gillet Foundation in particular.

Not on the tv news at least - SHM did mention it, but I didn't see it in any papers...though I wasn't exactly reading them too thoroughly recently :)
