Sorry to be off topic and show my ignorance, but what does tikka stand for/mean?

Tikka is a type of curry.

Chicken Tikka Masala is particularly nice.

I don't know why, but I always thought "tikka" was "cheers" in some north european language (Finnish, or something similar).
Who cares I'll forget this thread and add a good "tikka" to my signature :lol:

You know curry is the national dish of England. :lol:

Isn't Rusholme "curry capital of the world"?.
Thats close enough to Stockport to know what Tikka is (or should be).

Sorry Jalapeno- You're all wrong. Its lashings of brown sauce and toast with a dollop of beans!! Unless you went to the old Matthews nursuries at monks heath where you were served butter on your beans, but not on your toast!
