The only downside of this and the on-the-road-topic: it makes me realise that I live in a rather boring country, landscape-wise. Great shots jmilliron!

love this place, spent 6 days there, riding bikes, motorbikes, horses, jeeping, rafting back in 1998 with the marlboro adventure team

Yup! I want second one.

Same flat race as two weeks ago but this time no break was allowed away. I'm just about to jump out of the peloton here to try to get across to another move which was ultimately doomed.

Got to work on my sprint finish - went at 600m to go , was leading until 50m from the line - came fourth. Lesson learnt though.

I am using an Einstein strobe with a Nikon D3s and a 70-200.. As well as a 17-35 for some of the others..

I never understood why some photographers put giant watermarks on their photos...

1) It clearly doesn't work. People will share them anyhow.
2) It ruins the shot !

I always give away my photos to riders. If their sponsors however want to use them for commercial purposes, I charge. This has been working rather well for me.

yea i agree. IM not a media guy and i can obviously see the 'pros' to selling things, but honestly.... (as it seems like most of these guys are just into photography (not as their livelyhood) like why make the wm huge. Also if i buy the photo, it's not even going to have the watermark anyways....so it's not like that's helping get their 'work' out there.
