Yeah in the clearer photos it just looks like a new model with an odd attachment and are interestingly glued to his nose.
Just ride ..

Looks like Speedcraft model nose bridge plus "special" nose pads.

My guess it tries to keep the nose as open as possible? Similar to those (originally anti snoring) patches.
But I can't imagine it would work, people take their glasses off sometimes during a ride.

the nose strips seem to have vanished from the pro peloton almost as quick as they came.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

Aru is one of the few still using them. They didn't vanish so quickly they become popular in 1994 (Soccer WC) and few years later (1996 EURO Soccer, Olympic games). Randomly used in cycling since late 90s (e.g. Ullrich).

If you look at Thomas and Kwiato, the new Kask helmet looks alright.
But if you look at Poels and Froome, it looks like a big pasta pot.

I guess so.
Thomas is also missing the January Mallorca team camp, he was training in California this week. Froome is in S.Africa

Wasn’t Froome spotted with a nose ring for the same effects last season?

Katie Compton is a machine, 14 US National CX win. And a fantastic result for Ellen Noble to take 2nd , and also Jeremy Powers to come back from his heart issues to take 2nd. The mens race was a real nail biter to watch

Looks fine from straight on and top. Looks mushroomy from angles.

Some manufacturers have a specific size for the helmet shell for each size. Some other manufacturers just have more padding inside and save one or another size of their helmet shells.
