Why does anyone care if riders are clean? It's unlikely many of the exciting ones are and the pretend charade that results in more scandals just makes things even worse.

I care about riders health and fair sport. But when I watch races it's for entertainment. The 60 and 50% years were bollocks though.
gilbert has alot to say about doping. i remember one quote where he was commenting on the relative strength of people in april versus july (classics versus GT), stating plainly that people he liquidises in spring destroy him in july, chalk and cheese he said. he was very matter of fact about it and not having a whinge at all.
also he is a very nice guy and clearly (along with sagan, kwiakowski (sic) and domylawn and matthews and all the other ones i like) a true hero of the sport who requires no chemical encouragement.

people care (occasionally) because it's still cheating, and while we don't rather think about it when watching a race, we do get pissed off learning it's been won dirty.
I've no delusions myself about "clean sport" just as I don't believe in "clean accounting" or "clean politics". however, we still do run and work with businesses, vote, and do all the stuff tainted with certain pathology.

Great ride by Richie Porte, was concerned he wouldn't be the same rider after his crash last year but he's still showing flashes (though maybe missed his chance last year)
yeah, Geraint Who?? Should be backing Bernal for the Tour at this point
What is with Port's aero suit? The neckline is like a ladies dress.

Assos is like that...

2002 Moots Compact-SL- getting aero look makeover
2019 Parlee Z0XD - "classified"

And Assos skinsuits have never looked like Assos jerseys. Why would they?
It seems quite inline with how all the track skinsuits are going, maybe slightly more exaggerated than others, but it's obviously makes it easier to get the aero fit that way. I would guess that having the front of the suit cut low and tight so it's constantly pulling down helps keep the fabric around the shoulder and underarms smoth.not sure why they’d go so low for TT suit.

^ yeah, high necks cause folding/bunching across the chest from shoulder to breast bone, especially in an aero tuck.
I agree that it looks stupid. It's like with compression socks, the ridiculous looks negate any performance benefit .
