I have retied my Salice sunglasses, I am now in the hunt for something else.

I wanted to keep away from Oakley, but I do like the Prizim style lens.

Can anybody recommend a good pair of sunglasses, my main points are :-

Either black or white or both.

A good lens, something like a Prizm.

Many thanks
Luke

Assos Zegho Werksmannshaft.

They are correct cycling-specific eye wear.

+1 the Chromapop lens is as close to the Prizm lens as you're likely to get without buying Oakley.

They are hideously expensive and the styling is a bit polarizing.

I can't find anything more versatile than the Radarlocks even made by Oakley - it's few years old design now, but in my opinion still the best one. The ocking mechanism is super easy to use and lens swap is a matter of few seconds. The choice of lenses is much better than for Radar EVs or Jawbreakers and for me they are much comfier than these mentioned two.

Bars Optics offer a good range of sunglasses at reasonable prices , better $ than Oakley and the ability to have a photo chromatic and a reading lense all in one

These Assos are far and away the best cycling glasses I’ve ever worn. The lenses are superb. They’re so light and there’s so little pressure I forget I’m wearing them. I can’t recommend these enough.

Adidas Zonyk Pro or Zonyk pro aero, as worn by team movistar and bora hansgrohe. Quality is awesome, fit can be customized and many options for lenses. i used prizm road glasses before, but the vario purple from adidas is at least on the same level.

But what i love the most, is the integrated sweat stopper. when riding long ascents in hot weather with my old jawbreaker or radarpath, i always got sweat on the lenses from the inside. super annoying.
With the adidas glasses, this is no longer a problem.

another vote for Rudy Project. Also, if you are getting old and presbyopic like me, take a look at DualEyewear.com- the bifocal is optimally positioned for reading your cyclometer and to not interfere with road vision.

As mentioned above; cannot fault the Radarlocks. Huge selection of lenses from Oakley and other manufacturers. Also best looking IMO.
Tip: if you happen to go to a store for sunglasses, bring your helmet with you and try the glasses on with the helmet. Also try to stow the glasses on the helmet holes.

Main thing is to make sure they are comfy and fit your face shape.
I tried a pair of those assos ones on for a ride a couple of years ago. Drove me mad. Touched my face in annoying places. Steamed up. Moved around. Didn't even finish the first climb before i got rid of them.

Glasses recommendations are a little like saddle and shoe recommendations, take them with a huge pinch of salt and try before you buy!
