I'm looking to get a frameset from Estonia. Looks like Omniva shipping doesn't provide service or insurance for parcels going to Canada.
Anybody knows wich carriers are taking care of parcels going from Estonia, across the border going to Canada ? Wich ones have best warrantied service, best rates ?

If you don't live far away from the US, would it not be easier to get it from Estonia to the US and then cross the border and get it from the US?

Which frameset?

DPD seems to do a lot of business there, don’t know about ex-EU though.

DHL has service from Estonia to Canada.

With any courier you are going to pay brokerage fees and HST.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.

OK, thanks , really handy !!
How come DHL doesn't offer protection ?
There's something I dont understand... I mean, goods HAVE to be insured so if I receive the frame crushed I can claim, right... ??

Antoine, care to explain your claim ?
Seller's a WW member.

I would give bikeflights.com a try. Not sure if they ship from Estonia to Canada, but I've had good luck shipping goods to and from CA from the US. https://www.bikeflights.com/ship

Why would you buy a frame from Estonia if you live in Canada ?
Unless it's a special frame made in Estonia (like a Czech Fetska).
It can be cheaper if you add the shipping and if it is it could be a stolen or fake frame.

That’s some obnoxious prejudice there, Antoine...

Lots of Weight Weenie members are buying stuff from other Weight Weenie members across the world you know  ?
It's called commerce.
FYI Canada has the highest prices and smallest inventories.
Now, if you are aware of an illegal type of commerce going on from a Weight weenies member, please share with us.
Otherwise, as yinya said, it's a prejudice.

I used to race in some Eastern European countries where it was known from everybody that the motorbikes and racing parts are usually stolen from other European countries. Nobody cared as they were cheap.

The inventory there were huge and the prices low. Good for the „commerce“.

Most burglaries in France are commited by eastern European, at least in the countryside. They steal everything from jewelries to large trucks and ship it to their countries.
Estonians maybe are not as much involved as some (Romanian beeing the masters), but I would use caution before buying anything from Estonia.
That beeing said I had a bike stolen in Canada some years ago ...

Off topic:

If it makes you feel any better, not only in France but also in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, etc....

On the other side it is not easy as a buyer to find out if a frame/ bike has been stolen.
