@jo.k... Interesting. So you are happy going from the 321s to the Vaypor S? I was actually using the Vaypor before I moved to Shimano, and while I loved the stiffness, I never was able to really secure my heel. The 321s allowed me to snug down the rear of my foot while remaining comfortable across the top. If the new Vaypor S has better heel lock, and it very well might because of the dial, that might be the shoe I want. Thanks!

Yes, very happy. The upper (and the shoe in general, frankly) is quite stiff, and when you slip it on the first time it's hard to imagine it as a "very comfortable" shoe ... but it is! I think the whole design approach for these shoes are that they are meant to be very secure around the ankle/heel without almost being tensioned at all. I for one had to relearn how to tighten my (cycling) shoes after I got these. Your foot is being pulled back against the heel cup and not down towards the sole.

FWIW I use mine with blue Speci insoles. I used to get knee pain if I didn't use varus wedges (orange type) under the sole, but with the Bonts I have been able to ditch these. This review is actually quite informative and I can reiterate many of the points being made there:

Thank you very much for the information. I do miss the Bont sole and its stiffness. Your description of the heel being pulled back is exactly what I desire. How do the sizes compare between the 321 and Vapor S?

I am reasonably sure I had a 43.5 in my 321s, whereas the Vaypor S are 44.5W (I measured my feet in the length and width direction as per the instructions on the Bont website).

I had my Vaypor Plus at 44.5 regular. Now wearing RC7 wide 44 and it's much better fit.

Thanks. For the life of me, I can't find an email from the purchase of my Bont's, and I frankly have no idea what size they were or, for that matter, where I even purchased them from! Guess I can just go by the sizing app on the website.

My 321s are a 42, and if I was buying another pair of these I'd go a half-size smaller. The Bont website is telling me to order a 43. That seems to jibe with what you are saying, jo.k.

Sounds about right. I could probably have gone with a 45W as well.
