Legalize the pushing, it will be a level playing field!

Then there will be 100 metre sprint champions/ bob sledge champions sat in the back of the car to give the strongest quickest push

No no no. Pushing only for the Norwegians. (EBH plans to use an S5 with clip-ons, no bike swap.)
Good to see a number of ill fitting jackets in the junior men's ITT today.

Reminds me of when Orica had an olympic bobsledder to push after a swap:

Not a huge fan of allowing bike swaps but everyone gets to do it so what the hell I guess. Wouldn't mind seeing someone botch the transition though :)

Of course he is angry, as he has no chance. You expect him to be happy about this huge climb?

IMO he's just removing expectations off of him, not angry about the course not suiting him--he always makes similar comments on uphill TTs and the like. Definitely seems mad about the bike swap though. I think it would be fair to rule only one type of bike allowed. With "strategic" swapping, you take away a little of the cycling element and delve into weird territory of who can dismount-remount-get-going the fastest.

Bergen looks like a million dollar bike destination, but the TTT itself - o total waste of time. I get it's been designed for team sponsors but #1 most of them dont give a duck and skip it #2 having like half of the starting list comprised of local teams only dilutes the WC's image and significance.

Agree- TTT is a nothing event. Like Cycling's version of synchronised swimming.

It is such a shame that the UCI chose to upset the tradition of the World Championships being contested by nations and allowed commercial entries with the contrived Trade Team Time Trial. I suppose we can look forward to BMC and Team Sky fighting out the Trade Team Pursuit final at some future point at the UCI World Track Cycling Championships?

Of course they only did it because the W Champs are the UCI's main money maker each year and they wanted to extract more from the event.

Hamish is making waves in UK domestic time trialling but he won't beat the world tour pros, sorry. I'm seeing Dumoulin taking this one.

The bike change thing is annoying though, I would much prefer it to be disallowed.
