Sagan was by far the best rider in the race. Making the breaks, doing most of the work. Only when they ended up with 3 GvA and Sep started to really put in some work. He does a bit too much work. But it's probably training for him, I bet he got his focus on RVV and P-R.
Agreed, although technically all of the first 3 should be disqualified given the amount of cobble dodging bike path riding they were doing, but I can't see the UCI actually enforcing that rule (even though they explicitly said they would...)

Totally appreciate that English isn't his first language but the last couple of interviews I've seen him in it was like he had a severe case of Attention Deficit Disorder, and nothing to do with language barriers. But perhaps he's just burnt out on every interviewer wanting a piece of his time. He's also tired and just wants to get out. But at the level he's at, interviews become part of the job. I did like his ultimate response, when he finally gave it, to the Omloop finish... just didn't have the legs. No big analysis necessary. He worked bloody hard for the entire race. Good job.

Cav is the same way. Honestly, how much can they really say about some of their victories? It's the same story over and over and they likely have to tell it 40 times over right after riding for hours and hours.

It is just Sagan getting pissed off with interviewers asking continuous stupid questions without any understanding of the dynamics of the race. He replies with the type of answer the question deserves. As others have said Cav often does the same.
Sagan, like Cav was, is a breath of fresh air. A rider with personality, shocker.
