Woods ever had a hard crash on descent? He started the descent as first with a head start and ended last of the group I think. Now I'm not a fan of wet roads either, but I didn't expect him to lose time on Pozzovivo on the downhill.

Pozzovivo did a a great descent and just rode away from Woods (who looked terrible descending). Some of those hairpin turns looked dicey with the rain.

Interesting Cav riding with the SRM cranks on both bikes (if that is his spare R5 on the roof?) rather than the Rotor inpower.

With the injuries that he got back from, who can blame him for not wanting to waste another season recovering from injuries?

Like the unlucky Lopez, just got back from a long injury and crashed out again
It wasn't meant negative from my point on Woods, I was just curious if a recent crash made him ride so safe.

I think Pozzovivo did an okay descent, but not that great. If it would have been 2 more K down he probably would have been caught by Izaggire. Great win tho, well deserved, was a bit surprised that they made him ride away so easily. Kruijswijk seemed to be strong enough when he let Pozzovivo attack.

The other bikes look like they're running Rotor. When you're that good you get to write your own equipment deal I guess

Looks like he's using the SES aero bar now though, pretty sure he was still using the classic round bar last year.

if that is the ses aero bar i wonder if it is a special version that is stiffer than the normal bar. i had the narrowest ses bar available and it was not stiff at all. i find it hard to imagine a sprinter wanting to use it.

That's interesting, I find the SES Aero bar quite stiff, certainly enough for me to not notice in a sprint. I am coming from the Pro Vibe 7s which is quite stiff anyway. It's certainly stiffer than any of the 3T bars I've had.

These guys are [i]very[/] affiliated with a Specialized shop, as am I (to a lesser degree) but that doesn't mean there's any pressure for us to be on the Vias. As for rim vs disc, the guy who sold off his Tarmac, Roubaix, and Shiv in favor of the Vias is on a disc version. He handles commuting and really poor weather on a Diverge and everything else on the Vias.

Did you also spend appreciable time on the old Venge? As far as comfort, the new bike can't really be worse than that.

I know similar guys who love the vias- not because it's a good bike (it's horrid) but due to the number of hubbards cracking boners at the Sunday park-up!

Did the Mavic brake-track in the Factor and Cannondale win it from the Shimano braketrack on the Bianchi and BMC?
these were circumstances for which Mavic claims their carbon brakestrack is build.
And the new Cosmic CCU wheels have those new braketracks too.
Unless both Mavic riders were riding the 2016 version?

Doubt it. Both started with a bigger advantage then that they finished with. Also Woods with his Cannondale most likely had the slowest descent of the entire group.
Skills and confidence let you descent fast or slow in the wet and breaktrack doesn't influent it that much I think.
