Of course not having seen the Moscon incident who knows, but I agree with Mickey its a worrying precedent, teams calling each other out on twitter. Still, gives the anti Sky brigade something to keep themselves occupied in the close season so its not all bad.

I don't see what it has to do with Sky, it's only Moscon who is involved.
What's wrong with using twitter in an important matter like that ? That's the best way to get attention.

That's always the same riders (Cavendish, Sagan, Bouhanni, Moscon) who are causing crashes or behave badly. Why not make them stop ?
For example after Cavendish made a wrong move Viviani crashed and could have lost his gold medal in the track .

There were a significant number of "see, thats just Sky" posts in response to FDJs post.

Not sure posting on Twitter does anything other than inciting the rabble, who in the last few years have shown themselves well disposed show their anger by the side of the road

Otoh I totally agree its always the same riders, and totally agree Moscon comes across as a nasty piece of work who shouldn't be given a contract.

How about Trentin today?
He totally owned it.
And to add some class to it, he did a long post on his instagram by saying he'd like to win it for thank the team for the many years together.

He took a gamble by waiting for Terpstra (strong move by bridging it solo) but turned out great. Trentin is on fire since the Vuelta, not just sprinting but also by forcing gaps. Very strong ride and good move after Gaviria crashed.

I was kind of expecting Søren Kragh to pull "a Yogi" on the QSF pair, but not this time around. Pure class by MT all round. And P-T delivers again. Great parcours.
Amund Grøndahl Jansen is shaping up nicely, by the way.

What a great end to the season! Il Lombardia was so exciting, I watched the twisty decents on the edge of my seat, pleased to see Nibbles get such a good win in his home country, a classy win.
(I guess that's what the Giro wanted to achieve with their 'decending prize' - it's pretty exciting until someone ends up with a bike stuck in a tree.)

Overall this year has seen many great races. The Giro and Vuelta were awesome. Tour was boring but lots of exciting classics except voor the normal boring ones.

Van der Haar has been the one who gets closest to van der Poel en van Aert for the last couple of years. Not really a surprise but he is very prone to injuries.

Even the Tour wasn't that bad this year. There was a stage where Froome had to chase the lead group! And once he was in difficulty! That's big difference to previous editions! :)

Does anybody else think that Mathieu van der Poel did not chase Lars van der Haar @ DVV Trophy Cyclocross Ronse for some reason?

That is exactly what happened. Through the start/finish, he attacked and there was no response. Neither wanted to be the one to follow. We may see that play-out again between them throughout the Season, which could result in some unexpected wins.

As Lefebvre and others here said, classy way for Trentin to go move on from QS. But also classy for QS to start him at all. Don't have any stats to support but I'd say the norm would be for outgoing riders to be benched for most of the fall.
