BUT Leonardo Piepoli got no ban for levels reportedly similar to Petacchi's in 2007."
In b4 thread sh*tstorm.

It looks like this
1 Froome suffering in Los Machucos
2 Team decided to increase a dose of salbutamol twice
3 Froome tested positive
4 Froome dominates a time trial
5 Froome confidently goes in Angliru

I don't hope that.
Froome has always stood for me a totem of clean racing, I'm withholding judgement until the UCI actually say something proper.
All we have is an investigation by La Monde and the Guardian newspapers so far and a statement from the uci saying that there was an irregular test of salbutamol.

What I don't understand, is why THEY let ill people take drugs to be better than healthy athletes... ?
You're asthmatic, ok, cure yourself, just don't race.
You need corticosteroids just before your big race? Ok, cure yourself, just don't race.
etc.

Regarding Froome's AAF. I think Cookson no longer being there to 'offer protection' may also be one factor to consider, when thinking about the whys, whos etc.

Why would you want less money in cycling?
