BMC is a pussy team, Tjay is a pussy, and Porte is the biggest pussy ever, although only on the road, Tjay is a pussy out of the road too.

It's getting childish indeed, but can't say this is unexpected. Specially if you see TJ's timeline, he cried a lot about the TTT on Twitter.

HAHA! I was gonna post that from Rojas so good. Like I said originally, TJ's whinging, it's just not a good look for the sport.

Poses an interesting problem for the commissaire. The regulations are quite clear. If they do not DQ TVG, then they have clearly shown bias.

IIRC Contador was filmed taking his helmet off in the stage after Porte's wheel swap penalty at the Giro, and the commissaires declined to penalise him because it would be against the spirit of the racing regulations, or some such nebulous get out clause.

To be fair though, road races are naturally more chaotic than TTs, if one wanted to make an argument for zero tolerance in time trials and the normal leeway for team car drafting and sticky bottles etc in mass start racing :noidea:

Let's face it, the rules are stupid, some of them, and this sport is also stupid not to change them. As millar said "cycling is a cottage industry";

- Touching a fellow cyclist in a TTT should be allowed, for simple security.
- Removing the helmet for a moment, for putting on or off a hat or skull cap, should be allowed.

Now, with the rules on the hand, Contador should be out, and Pussy T-jay too. And Froome should be disqualified from last tour for doing part of the race with no bike.
Happy Trails !!!

Indeed.
But it seems to be a "sleeping" rule, or that removing your helmet to remove or put on a cap or similar and putting it back on while riding is interpreted as adjusting ones clothing by many commisaires.

I think he means if for example someone in front of you keep moving toward you and it could create a dangerous situation; "touching" like a small push, can be just like saying "hey look, Im here behind you, stop moving otherwise I will smash my face on the ground".

I don't disagree. But doing this definitely helped TJ in a similar way (albeit smaller) to MOV in the TTT. The alternative to what he did is to pull over, stop at the side of the road, and adjust there. But then you have to expend a little extra energy to catch up - so that's why he didn't want to do it.

If they wanted to, they could make these things clear and explicit in the regulations. But they don't want to do that as it leaves 'interpretation' wiggle room so people can bribe them.

Had problems with his cleats. So switching was probably faster then fixing it.

Yeah got confirmed by Fizik themself that he broke a cleat and joked about it by saying he started a new trend.
