Where is it?

Thanks wingguy

That is in Volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii...
The road is inside the Volcano National Park boundaries
That mountain is Maunaloa
I have lived here most of my life & still smile on every ride :D
Very pretty & has many different types of terrain

Fast Tuesday on a monday. 30 miles in 1.30. Not bad for rolling terrain and early in the season.

The time of year for miniature sheeps.

And finally some green stuff to start appearing on the trees again.

Not often you get to see the road unfold below you around here.

Which is why they built a lookout there.

Bit of sunburn on the coast.

And back to this guy. Not as cool as a parrot, but he's ok.

I liked the Liscio, I guess it's marketed as an endurance frame and it was certainly a nice smooth riding bike. The guy I rented it from did a good job setting it up for me similar to my own bike. I chose it because I wanted to try road disc and it had the trp hy/rd brakes.

Definitely no road buzz or vibration through that frame and I'd say it's well suited to its intended purpose. I haven't ridden out there in 15 years and I really enjoyed getting out along the California coast again.

If anybody else needs a rental in Southern California I recommend synaptic cycles, it was a good experience I think they also have bikes from Calfee, Focus and maybe some others.
