Nice work if you can get it, as the old tune goes.

Thanks, though it is a bit of a cheat because it contains two cans of Vittoria Pittstop instead of a spare tire
Nice photo's indeed. Is that the Staphorster Bos?
It certainly is!
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.
Lake Zug
This from back in June. On the north side of the Col d'Allos, I'm unwittingly pointing to the crash sites of Pinot and Contador in TdF 2015. We did the "Barcelonette Loop" that day, counterclockwise. Allos-Champs-Cayolle, alas, and we had a magnificent lunch in Allos town, with veal roasted over wood. Almost didn't get up Champs afterwards. Down the Cayolle in the rain a rather quick woman with "FRANCE" on her shorts tagged along until we split at Uvernet-Fours. Back up at http://www.prieure-praloup.com it was Sauvage Blonde time all right. I can recommend both the hotel and the beer.

I did a few rides in Piemonte recently. If you want to see the pictures follow the links.
First time up to col Nivolet. The road was closed to traffic above Ceresole (since mid October), I had it to myself... Larches were ablaze, in more ways than one.
Note the smoke from forest fires in some pics, I had to leave the area the next day; in fact all of the Piedmont had major fires, the Susa valley, etc

Ride from Biella, to Oropa (a monument to bad taste ), then the strada panoramica

Colle San Carlo from Morgex. The incredible view of the Grandes Jorasses is from Petosan, off the main road on the south-west side of the col

Darn, Basilic! So: Next year I have to do the Colle San Carlo. Have passed it three years in a row now on my way to PSB...
