From the sea to the sky today (San Juan to Teide cable car). Somewhat amusingly ended up in the middle of the Vuelta al Teide sportive which at least gave me people to reel in to break the monotony as well as a water refill even tho I wasn't participating, very nice of them.

Ps descent back to chio is truly terrible road, avoid if poss

If you do the ascent via Chio (or punish yourself through Chiguergue - don't take my KOM's :D ) and descent via Vilaflor / Las Americas / Adeje, the bad tarmac won't bother you as much.

Ha, no, I think I have a top 10 through Chiguera from last year but wasn't killing myself ;-) Contador apparently regularly throttles himself on that one a few time in a row. I'm just getting the legs turning but it's been nice. Last year we had horrid luck with the weather, better this time. Back to winter...

hehe, you might not have the KOM for long, looks like someone has signed up for Strava w/ the name of his mechanic...

Haha! There's no shame in losing a KOM to Alberto, he could take all of them during a single warm-up run, I'm sure...
