2017 On the road today

Kjetil, sure, from the Aosta valley to Bourg-St-Maurice it's best to ride from Morgex over San Carlo, down to La Thuile, then Petit-St-Bernard. That way you avoid the busy section from Pré-St-Didier to la Thuile, the tunnels and galleries.
On the French side, there is a small road through Montvalezan and Châtelard that skips part pf the main road (well below Rosière).

Yes, we do the small (and steep!) road from Rosière through Montvalezan direction l'Iseran, which I believe is the road TdF will use next year. They put new asphalt on it this June.
The San Carlo is a "Bonus" pass for those with the higher VAMs on our trip, but our main route goes to Pré-St-D. I'll get the other guide to do the main route next year.
The section of PSB below La Thuile is not so busy on Sunday mornings, but we tend to get the GF La Montblanc in our face down in the valley. That's entertainment!

Early morning training in autumn means high ISOs but also nice lighting from the sun.
Taken just west of Tokyo.

Pouring down in South West UK today. Waiting for a new 2045n battery for my P2Max. Had a nice tempo HR blast about today despite the rain. Loving the Wahoo. Such a great training tool.
