Thank you for this recommendation! I normally wear Assos and Rapha, but just got a pair of Pactimo Summit Stratos Bibs (with the hexagon pattern fabric). First ride with them today, I did a pretty chillax 100 miles/4200' climb @ 19.6/mph average -- zero discomfort and the leg grippers were wonderful. I'd prefer the bib straps be a slightly more outboard, but that's a minor issue.

FWIW, I ordered size SMALL. 5'9", 145#.

I have both the Pactimo Summit Stratos and Raptor (1.0 and 2.0) bibs, all with the longer leg grippers, and love them. I actually find that the Raptor 2.0 are my favorite. I'm 6'2", 150lbs and wear a size small. My biggest issue is that the shoulder straps on the Stratos are slightly too short for me, but I'm sure that the size small bibs weren't designed for someone 6'2" tall!

Was in Italy last week. Put the Q36.5 Dottore bibs through a long day which included some rain. They are a wonderful piece of kit.
But be aware that in rain, at least when in contact with an Astute saddle, this combo will create a squeaking noise that borders on 'porno'.
I was laughing so hard that I honestly forgot how numb my legs were on that climb, which is acceptable (yea, a climber I ain't.)

The fabrics from Q continue to amaze me. These shorts feel like rain shorts off the bike and are notable lightweight. The textile can manage a super wide range of temps. Despite the lack of an Assos style KuKuPenthouse, these shorts were super comfy over a 5 hour outing with plenty of climbing. Now, if someone could combine the Q pad, fit and textiles with the KuKuPenthouse I would have my nirvana bibshorts.

I've read that the tight weave of the Q36.5 Dottore bibs makes them quite water resistant. Can you confirm if this is the case?

Yes, the fabric definitely pearls the water off in light to medium level rains. Eventually it will get soaked if you are out long enough in rain, but the fabric does not seem to grow or feel heavier with the water weight as with other short brands I use. Probably because the Dottore fabric is already so thin. The one area where the fabric showed a notable soaking effect was in the hips, where the water was spraying and then getting squished between micro folds when pedaling, but this happens to a greater extent with other bib brands.

The shorts are also exceptional at drying once the rain stops. And these are not designed as rain bibs. They just have a really broad range, managing high heat, light rain and cool descents very well. I was honestly skeptical when I first held the Dottore in my hands, but I am darn impressed.

I got a good enough deal on a pair of the S7 Cento bibs and now that I've ridden them a few times I definitely like them better than the previous generation. The pad looked similar to me in photos other than the color but it's actually thinner and more like some of their older ones. The penthouse seems to work for me. The waste on the pro team II's hits me in a more comfortable place of the bike but I prefer the cento otherwise. I also like the leg length, seems normal to me which I prefer to having to them being long.

If durability proves to be sufficient I could see me getting another pair. I like the pro team II but at the price I got the cento for I'd need to really prefer the rapha bib and I don't right now.

Nalini Mavone, simple, basic, does the job and it's on Nalini lines from a few years which means they do sell well.

Hello, does anybody have an experience with Santini C3 pad ? And a comparaison with the more common Castelli or Assos pads ?
The Redux Fortuna suit seems a good alternative to the Castelli Speedsuit and color are way more sun adapted:

I have a Santini bib short with the NAT pad which is similar to the C3 pad. Comparing the NAT pad to the Assos Mille pad, the NAT is sligthly denser and thicker (it also has gel cores). The Mille moves more freely and it is nice because you feel less that you are sitting on a pad. In this sense the NAT feels more 'traditional'.
The C3 is Santini's best, 'endurance' pad so you will not have any issues in terms of comfort on the saddle although the Mille pad might feel nicer because of its float.
