My bike weighs 7.7Kg. Maybe that's my problem.

Are you riding the Nationals, Jamie? Good luck if you are.*

Given the nature/length of Bank Road, I would think Dan Evans or Joe Clark would be favourites this year.

* EDIT: I'm guessing you might be given I've just seen on Strava that you were up there a couple of weeks ago doing some reps on the course.

Yeah, i'll give it a go. Think Joe Clark will be tough to be beat. Not much overlap between the Northern and Southern riders though so can't really compare until the day. When it's so short it's quite a mental thing, so can be some surprises

Nice. My GF at uni was from there. I took my bike over in the summer of '98. I had no bike box, so it was dismantled and wrapped up in bits of cardboard.

It's a great place to cycle although I found the roads round Geneva much busier than they used to be. I took my bike over in a borrowed Scicon Aerocomfort bag which did a good job for the flights although the ergos got a bit bashed inwards. Easily sorted.

On the plane into Geneva, that's Bellegarde bottom right, I cycled through there the next day. M Blanc massif in the background.

Miller- nice one, feel free to drop a line for beta etc (others as well). Lots of good riding even within close shot of Geneva if the weather is good.

Thanks. I only had a couple of days out there, back in the flatlands now (sadly). More bike paths around Geneva than there used to be. I'm sure I'll be back out but I don't know when.

A rainy ride in Cape Town (on a friend's second bike.) Pic taken from Red Hill, looking out over Simon's Town harbour.

Half way point today. Turns out the Veloflex don't deal so well with sharp chunks thrown up by potholes. The front one is toast I think...
