Once again the Ventoux. Windy again, but at least no issues with staying on the bike.
New personal record at under 1h 35min from the 0km sign in Bedoin, until the top where the TdF finish is.
280w average for my 69,5kg on the climb. That too a big improvement from last year when I struggled to keep 250w average with 3-4kg more weight.
Returning again in a month to try to get below 1h 30min. All in all, really fun day.

An hour and a half to the top from Bedoin... Great job! I spent an hour and half simply eating an omelette at the restaurant 6km from the top.

Was that to the regular TdF finish, or the 2016 TdF finish, ha ha?

Thanks! Since 2010 and my first ascension of the Ventoux (Over 2h), 1h 35min has been the goal. This is the first summer when I make it my goal to get better at long climbs, and finally I manage. I get dropped on local group rides on 10 minute climbs, but the longer ones feel much easier to handle.

Great timing. Best early August weather I can recall; 10 to 15 degrees below normal. Did you climb w/ Gus The Goat?
