Gaimon apparently putting out

6.66 W/KG - 20'
7.27 W/KG - 10'
7.72 W/KG - 5'

So Phil Gaimon is putting out equal if not more power than Froome, yet can't even get a contract.

Do those compare to mountain TT numbers from Froomey?

Yep, comparing Phil's peak powers to what Froome can do in the second and third week of a Grand Tour is a perfectly legit comparison. And totally proves your point...

To also quote Phil - from the same thread you ripped those numbers from

so Nick, this asshole is why pros don't like to post their numbers

Those Froome numbers come from a lab test.

Which having just read the article my wife (PhD and sport science and physiology lecturer specialising in athletic testing protocols) didnt even know where to start in picking fault with the testing methods used.

Comparing one riders data to another opens a minefield of variables.
Was Gaimons powermeter calibrated properly? Was Froomes?
Was Gaimons value taken from races or road training? Froomes was taken from a lab test, maybe he doesn't like lab tests? One of his perceived effort values was only 18 out of 20, which suggests he could try harder than he was?
Also his body weight/fat % seems high which leads me to think he was detrained a bit and not in top shape.

For which many estimates show Froome is capable of producing well in to the second week of a Grand Tour. But hey, cherry pick what you like to fit your own self-perpetuating narrative.

And he seems to have switched to a Romin saddle from his "beloved" custom Prologo too.

Maybe JV could do him a good deal on that SRM that's been pictured on his bike several times over the last 3-4 weeks. Might only need $1k gofundme for him to keep using it after Jan 1 when he's unemployed.

Surely you can't seriously believe that he is capable of putting out those numbers.

God who the *f##k* cares about his power? Seriously? Everyone agreed he was not really impactful as a pro yet pages later he's still the main topic.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.
