I know that it's just started, but Contador already got almost 1 minute from every serious GC contender. How could they mess this up so badly? Astana with the mechanical problem was only 6 seconds slower...

Yeah, you have to wonder about Tinkoff and why they were so far off the pace. There is a lot of climbing in this Vuelta, so perhaps the team is best suited for that. I'd love to see Contador win this one.

Completely empirical observation here, but viewership in our household will increase 100% only because Sagan is racing.

So much for last starting line, Sagan already in 3rd spot. Would be crazy if he get's a medal. Then he surely is the most complete rider in the peloton.

I know nothing about MTB racing, but why don't they have more neutral service locations?

Wiggins doesn't ride in the peloton anymore :P
Would be an interesting project tho, see if he can adapt in 4 years time with the backing of BC.

Silly I know but I can't recall being so bummed out watching a professional race than seeing Sagan flat. Course looks to be a bit rough on tires and equipment between the two races, impressive to watch how smooth some of the guys are.
Just ride ..

NBC, at least in my area, is showing rhythmic gymnastics over the race. A *f##k* travesty.
