Yes he stop a 2nd time when the team car finally reached him and switched bike.

It's never nice when a race leader is dropped due to a crash (although the "action" was already on and it was his own mistake).
Chepeau to Orica and Chaves for attacking on the Colle dell'Agnello by showing they wouldn't wait for the last stage, but afterwards he looked at his limit.
Nibali looked like he was gonna be dropped when there was the big attack from Chaves but then very solid for whole stage, as you would expect from him (talking of past performances).

Medical update from LottoNL-Jumbo: Kruijswijk has a small rib fracture and is struggling with pains in his foot and side. New update, tomorrow morning.
Looks like even his podium or a top 5 are gonna be hard now.

Hope Zakarin is ok...

his body is a long way from his bike...But, not the first example of his bike handling we've seen over the past year and a bit.

Looks like Zakarin is okay, bar the cradled broken collarbone.

The good thing about Kruijswijks situation, is that he now knows that he can win a GT. If there was hope for it last year, this year has confirmed it.

He is far from old and new opportunities will come.

I don't think he will be the kind of "One hit wonder" in grand tours, like Cunego or Hesjedal.

It feels sad today, but I am confident that he will come back and pull on the final pink jersey one day.

Maybe he can go back and aim for the Vuelta and win that one instead.

That's why I was asking if there was any video of the crash, but it seems not. He's also on the inside of a corner, down a slope, a long way from any logical place he would have left the tarmac from overrunning the exit of the previous turn.

It must have been freakin' huge.

This is bike racing not a group ride or Zwift. Careers and futures are on the line and if you decide to grab food when visibility is limited and crash then that's your own fault, but no one is going to wait up.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

I think he will be, came from nowhere and won't get there again.

+1 ... Nibali should not have been expected to wait in that circumstance.

I've ridden with cracked ribs.. could not stand .. tomorrow will be extra tough for him, with all the climbing.

I was unable to even get on the bike for over a week with cracked ribs. Just getting in and out of bed was a huge effort. Depending how bad he really is, I don't think he will start tomorrow.

Terrible for Stevie K.. Never want to see a GT decided this way... As he admitted.. Just spent on the climb and lost concentration. Amazing he chased essentially solo for 40km on those ribs.
Really enjoyed his riding and look forward to seeing him at more GTs.

Feared the worst for Zakarin.. As he wasn't moving.. Lucky to walk away with a snapped collarbone.

2 top 10's with a bad injury in between isn't exactly nowhere.

Kruijswijk just rode on the rollers in the hotel and is going to start today. Wonder how it will go considering his injury's and it's uphill from the start.

SK's results in recent years, as highlighted by his official website.

Can't see Zakarin's front wheel anywhere, but I'm viewing on a small screen.
