Yeah man, Kittel's got a major chip on his shoulder right now. He thought he was healthy and fit enough for the Tour last year but Giant-Alpecin didn't agree and left him home. So he was done there, now he's out to stick it up their arses for screwing him in his opinion.

Does it seem that Kittel sprints at a decently lower peak cadence than most others? I hadn't really noticed it until watching the last 2 wins.

The irony of Horner replacing Kocjan on lupus.

Can't blame Alpecin on that as Kittel did pretty poor before the Tour and didn't had any results after either. Every rider will say he's healthy and fit enough to ride the tour. But it's to big of a race to just take a gamble on someone who didn't had any results at all that entire season.

Given where and when it was developed and the study populations it was done on I'd really be interested to see a push for retroactive testing for this substance. Unfortunately for users it is really easy to detect even at low levels: http://pilarmartinescudero.es/OctNov15/ ... grafia.pdf

Don't worry, in Eastern Europe at least (the drug was originally invented in Latvia) before it was banned (that is, until the end of 2015) basically EVERY serious racer used it, including many amateurs, since it was developed as a heart drug and therefore easily obtainable with a simple prescription.

A bit of a spat between the locals and the brits at the Herald Sun Tour

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/heral ... 8a931cfffe

Tour de France champion Chris Froome won the race, but attention switched to his teammate when he was visibly agitated after crossing the line.

“It was absolutely disgusting,” Kennaugh said after the race.

“When our director said to us on the last lap to ride, to keep it (the time gap) at 40 seconds to protect my second place on ‘GC’ (general classification), he (Shaw) just came up to me and (was) laughing in my face.

“He called me selfish c---. Pat Shaw his name is.

“(He said) `I don’t know how you sleep at night, you’re disgusting’ and all this. He obviously wanted to beat me on GC.

“I just went up to him and confronted him and he wouldn’t look me in the eye.

Good tan on Pete K :-)
One of the dumber arguments I've heard.
No disrespect to Aus but time the racing came back to Europe IMO.

It is, but only on the southern parts like Valencia which ended today. It's still pretty cold in Europe, better avoid getting sick and ride in nice weather in Australia or the desert. And only 20 days till Omloop het Nieuwsblad!

No. Omloop and Strade Bianche are both proper races. And one day races are better than stage races. Ugh. I have spoken.
