Trying to order a Canyon, PM me and we can go from there. Not sure if this should be in WTB or where.

Has anyone ever tried Borderlinx http://www.borderlinx.com for this kind of thing? Seems safe enough, I signed up and got a UK address, as it was free to sign up, but I've never used it.

Might be worth checking which market the bikes are cheapest in. For example, UK was (apparently) one of the most expensive markets for 2015 bikes.

Atleast Norway was a lot cheaper than Finland. 200-500€ for every bike.

Send to country outside EU if possible, to avoid the 19% VAT.

I'm thinking Singapore, Dubai.

Singapore shipping is 3xx usd, so about 7-10% of bike price. Still, cheaper than 19%.

I'm willing to sort this out if interested.
I have ordered before from Canyon.
Send me a PM and we'll talk through skype or mail.
(note: I'm not asking anything for service, I am not after money!)

edit: I can get the racer reduction, but I wonder if it still exists?

If so, the cheapest option probably is:

Canyon sends it to me with license owner reduction (-30% I thought).
I drive it through the mud for 50 odd meters and repackage the whole thing.
I send it as used and take off (let's say) 30% of value for shipment value for customs / taxes.

You should have it below the original retail price, or am I missing something?

it is also possible to avoid VAT if you buy to some EU contries but then you have to make a payment from your companys account

I Dont think it is possible to avoid the vat. Canyon would have to impose German vat on all its sales. Only if the buyer receides outside of the eu it would perhaps be possible to buy it without German vat.

Not sure Ns sending it as a second hand would tackle the us import tax/sales tax issues.

It is possible to avoid VAT, but you're bending the rules very much, so its worth the hassle only when buying for yourself.
Since Canyon are German, avoid paying in GBP. The EUR/GBP rate will increase the price.
