Thanks again for all the replies, good to know the riding is good! Now to get on with the hard part of finding a job so I can apply for a work visa. I don't suppose anyone knows of any electrical engineering jobs going in the renewables sector ?

Thanks, I actually hadn't come across a couple of those websites. We have quite a long time till we are looking to move so I'll just have to keep my eyes open and hope that something comes up. I expect the job market in my field will be similar to here, where the jobs don't come up very often, so just need to keep looking!
