Forgive me if this has already been posted someplace but i would love to know what big name cyclists are doing with themselves after retirement.

Does anyone know what happened to guys like Sastre, Óscar Pereiro, etc?

Floyd Landis used to ride past my office around 3 on weekdays heading to the West Side Highway in NYC so i assume he's not doing much...

Pereiro has been commentator for sports program.

Lemond still sells (and rides) his bikes LeMond Bicycles. "His other business interests have included restaurants, real estate, and fitness equipment."
He is a TdF commentator on Eurosport as well.

Hinault looks like a Sicilian mobster in NYC. He's got the track suit thing, now he just needs a sleeveless t-shirt under it and a large gold chain.

Donno if these are big names for you or not, but few examples;

Vladimir Belli recently started working for Eurosport Italy.
Paolo Fornaciari owns a gelato shop.
Roberto Petito owns a cafe.
Dario Pieri works as gardener if I understood correctly (source wasnt clear enough).
Stefano Garzelli started working since last year for Rai, just as Max Lelli who owns also his own bike brand and granfondo event.
Pietropolli works (owns?) in a gasoline station.

Just a few who come to mind...

Alessandro Ballan - currently finishing his 18 month suspension for doping and hoping to return to riding (he was fired by BMC)
Gianni Bugno - helicopter pilot
Francesco Moser - family agriculture business - mainly wine, along with Cicli Moser (that I suppose the family still owns)
Roberto Visentini - family mortuary business
Roberto Cassani - RAI journalist and racing commentator
Mario Scirea - direttore sportivo, Lampre Merida
Fabio Baldato - direttore sportivo, BMC
Maximilian Sciandri - direttore sportivo, BMC
Claudio Chiappucci - often on TV, recently defeated when running for mayor in the town of Saronno
Bruno Leali - was team manager of an Italian under 21 team and caught with doping materials in his hotel room - he was banned from all cycling roles in 2011 and I can't find more recent information
Road bike: Cervelo R3, Campagnolo Chorus/Record mix...
Supercommuter: Jamis Renegade...
Oldie but goodie: De Rosa Professional Slx, Campagnolo C-Record...
And you can call me Macktastik Honey Pete Kicks, thank you.

OK. No need to turn this into a Lance retweet-fest. If anyone is curious with regards to his whereabouts and activities, by all means follow him on twitter. No need to repost all his tweets here. Thanks.
