I was right near "the winged helmet guy"!
He gives all the stragglers a big push. That seems to be is "workout" for the day.

Thx for sharing. Little Cottonwood Canyon (LCC, 6.3mi and 2.5k ft) is a great place to see first-hand just how strong pro's are and how fast they fly.

Joe D, today's stage winner up LCC, has previously flown up it with the all-time fastest on Strava @ 29:59 - impressive shizzle indeed. We'll have to wait and see if he posts today's YELLOW winning effort.

In my opinion, the chase group of Woods, Horner, Schleck and Berhane seemed to be waiting for tomorrow once they realized they weren't going to catch Joe D. I haven't seen the footage, but as they rode up the final 1km (I couldn't see the final 200-300m to the line) they were all together with no attacks. Horner was smiling, but that's kinda his style. Berhane looked a little anxious, but sticking with the group.

There was a strong tailwind, and the temperatures were quite chilly. So the times should be really fast. They were really flying!

Horner's using Deda 35 bars. Weird.

On TV during the Tour of Utah, Horner's bars looked awfully wide.

I think I recall reading that he prefers wide bars. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first or last time, ha.

And he always seems to have a mischevious smirk, be it on the bike or during his honest / funny interviews. I like that, but am disappointed that he's got suspicious grey clouds above him.
