Who has the best design idea for this frameset.

My son is riding this bike now - but he wants a respray. His only ideas are black with some red ( minimum ). He doesn't want to buy a new frame because this suits him very well, and with 1360 grams ( Frame/Fork/ Headset / white paint ) it is still fairly light.

So please post your ideas on this frameset. A present will be sent to the one with the most beautiful design.

maybe melting it and than design the frame from scratch...
painting it matte white with the dutch tricolore on the headtube en seattube...

Not a racing bike - he does't race competition with the bike - just for fun rides and climbing.

matte black, with orange accents and glossy black decals...

Matte brown with pink or orange details would be nice

Have a look at https://instagram.com/poseursport/ for some ideas.
Go all out and go bold. Not just black with some small colour highlights like every other repaint.

I agree with the above, black and red is too standard. Maybe you can get inspired by the "coolest paintjob" thread:

When he is happy with the frame, want back and a little red.
go for that,

a respray will have a high price tag for this frame.
more than the frame is worth

make it a farther son project, sand it back to the raw carbon, go to a lettershop make a few red lapierre labels so that it has the original name.
and his own name on the toptube
2 or 3 layers of 2k clear coat .

after a weekend of polishing he will have a nice and shiny bike, done by him self ( with a little help from his hero)

+ low cost
+ cheap
+ frame will be lighter

-takes a little more time
-quality is a little lower then a pro painter

when he wants something else the next year , sand the letters, pull them off , neon yellow lapierre and a bit of clear
and he has an other bike, still below 1/2 the costs of a real respray (aprox. 350 euro)

Bloody shame to ruin a perfectly fine original team frame IMHO...
Better sell it to someone who appreciates it as it is and buy something else.
