I recently worked as a team guide for the Pro Team Lampre-Merida at the Tour of Turkey which is a 2.
HC UCI event.
As an amateur racer it was a great experience to be bumping shoulders with the greats of the sport.
Andre Greipel, Tom Boonen, Cavendish, Rebellin and many other top tier cyclists turn up before the Giro to test their guns on the sprinter friendly stages while GC riders also get to play in two mountainous stages.

The Teams brgin to arrive two days before the start, here, MTN unpacks

MTN were on rotor power meters
Astana were using SRM
Some Lotto riders had SRM's (Greipel), others didn't.
Some Etixx riders were using power2max, Cav was using Stages (IIRC, don't quote me on it...)
Lampre, topsport were using Rotor power meters, but not all riders had them installed.
UHC was on Pioneer's
Some tinkoff riders had SRM's, others didn't.
From what i see the mechanics & riders could care less about some of the stuff we just can't stop talking about.
Low weight, disk brakes, power meters all get a mere MEH!
The only trend the peloton really seems to care about are wide tyres, (25-28 mm).
Vini Nippo Fantini running tubeless tires was interesting but makes a lot of sense IMHO.

Also, sources that shall remain anonymous told me it's very unlikely FSA's electronic group set will be ready for the Tour this year,
