Vermarc with the red chamois is the best for me. Beats Assos, Bioracer and Castelli in my experience.
For 45€/bibs it's also best price from those.

Another vote for Castelli body paint. Although I will say Fit is everything. I can't tell a difference between any of the pads I've used.

Assos's FI.13_S5 was my favorite but it's discontinued now. I've heard good things about Q36.5's L1 bib.

My three high quality bibs are Assos Mille, Rapha Lightweight and Pearl Izumi P.R.O LTD bibs (which is definitely on the lower spectrum of highend).

In terms of fit I'd say: Assos, PI and then Rapha. Assos straps are short when standing straight up, but on the bike they're perfect. Rapha's fit great, but the leg hole for a Medium is a bit too small, and hard to put on. I wear Medium in everything other bib.

In terms of chamois comfort: Assos and Rapha for a tie, with PI slightly behind. I've gone on some VERY sweaty summer centuries with no cream on both the Assos and Rapha. No issues. I did the same with the PI's and around 70 miles, started to feel a hotspot forming. With some cream, I could have avoided it. In the winter time, when things are dryer, I don't have issues with any of them without cream.

I have 7 pair of assos uno F1, I can't wear anything else......
3 pair have now been demoted to the mtb draw after 3 years road use (6000 mile per year) and they're still going strong.

anyone try the Pactimo Pro Bibs? I know they are known as more of a team supplier but they appear to have some nice stuff.

last week I bought online a pair of Sportful Vuelta bibshorts size XL (because I hoped they would be long enough) instead they go mid thigh. by the look of things the XXL won't be 8 cm longer that the XL
so I'll use them in the winter with leg warmers

I am not tall. 1m74. any recommendation for bibshorts that are quite "long" on the thigh?

thanks

The longest ride I have done is 4 hours so it's not a final review but I think I might like the new Sportful Super Total Comfort Bib Shorts.

Anyone try Ale'? Looking for insight on bibs (leg length).

US Dist. folks are inept at providing service.
